Renown spray paint artist, Chor Boogie kicks off the grand opening of Air Castle Gallery, 1706 Steiner St., SF, CA, with his latest exhibition "Boogie Birds" - small works.
Without any use of stencils or other aids Chor Boogie creates the world's smallest spray paintings in his trademark style, color bright and detail-rich renderings, many done on mere 2" x 2" mini-canvases. "Its just me and the spray can", Chor chuckles. "No tricks, no cheats, just me and the paint."
A curious creature the Boogie Bird is. With its roly-poly physique, these birds have the knack for adventure as their curiosity tends to lead them astray. But by their own roundabout nature the Boogie Bird always finds its way home. Catch this year's migration at Air Castle Gallery and come delight in their strange yet marvelous ways.
Show runs Friday, January 29th to Sunday, February 28th. Reception is Friday, January 29th, 6pm and on. Refreshments available for purchase. Musical performance by Irina Mikhailova. Classes, workshops, and private instruction are available.
