21 Grand's First Ever Juried Exhibition
Artists' Reception: Friday, October 2 - 7-10pm
When historians look back on the past ten years, they may very well characterize it as the Decade of Wrong: the crashing mass delusions of the dot-com and housing bubbles, the policies and practices of the Bush Administration, the manufacturing of misleading images and media via Photoshop and other editing software, the heated confrontations of internet message boards and blogs, and our changing perspectives of our way of life wrought by Global Warning and environmental crises. The works in this exhibition engage the theme of "Wrong!" in its many meanings: pointing out injustice or unethical behavior, errors of reasoning and factual inaccuracies, representing the unnatural or profane, or being willfully contradictory and breaking the rules. Wrong! features work by: James Bradley, Sam Carr-Prindle, Daniel Healey & Damon Smith, James Kaiser, Yuki Maruyama, Ryan McJunkin, Chelsea Pegram, Jeremy Tribby, Jason Warriner , Kathrine Worel (pictured), and Hyewon Yoon. The jurors were Misako Inaoka and Svea Lin Soll (née Vezzone).
